Karen Testerman on Bergdahl release: 'It used to be that we would send our military to rescue our POW'
U.S. Senate candidate Karen Testerman reacted to news of the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who spent nearly five years in the hands of Afghan militants, by blasting the Obama administration.
“Good news folks,” she wrote on Facebook. “This young paratrooper is coming home after five years in captivity and held by the Taliban in Afghanistan. On the other hand,” she continued, “poor negotiation by Obama Admin. Bergdahl was exchanged for FIVE Guantanamo Bay detainees. And it used to be that we would send our military to rescue our POW.”
