“He’s a little bit like a giant hairball that the Republican Party cat is trying to cough up. They can’t swallow it and they can’t get rid of it.”
— Howard Fineman, editorial director of the AOL Huffington Post Media Group, on Mitt Romney.
Huffington Post Senior Political Editor Howard Fineman said 2nd District congressional candidate Ann Kuster “is probably going to win” in 2012 and adds that she may be responsible for helping President Obama carry the state. The comments came during an appearance on The Chris Matthews Show. [Video]
Matthews: Howard, tell me something I don’t know.
Fineman: New Hampshire’s going to be a swing state in the presidential election. This time, President Obama’s going to be relying on a local to bring him to victory. Ann McLane Kuster, congressional candidate who narrowly lost last time, is probably going to win and she may be the one who pulls Obama over the line.
Matthews: So this won’t be Kuster’s last stand.
Fineman: This will be Kuster’s first stand.
